Arguably dormant for the first 10 years, CAADP received a boost with a new commitment by African Heads of State in 2014, at a historic meeting in Malabo- Equatorial Guinea. This recommitment was aimed at helping African countries reach and maintain a higher path of economic growth through new promises that would reduce mass poverty food insecurity and hunger.
