SAfm — The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) and its head Shaun Abrahams have filed an appeal with the Constitutional Court against a North Gauteng High Court ruling that the appointment of its head Shaun Abrahams was invalid. They argue against the finding by the Court that President Jacob Zuma appointed Abrahams because he was less likely to charge the president than his predecessor, Mxolisi Nxasana. Yesterday, President Jacob Zuma filed notice to appeal the Pretoria high court ruling that he's conflicted and as a result cannot appoint the National Director of Public Prosecutions.
