The Social Justice Coalition has welcomed today's Constitutional Court judgement confirming that Section 12-One-A of the Regulation of Gatherings Act is unconstitutional because it criminalises peaceful protests. The organisation says the ruling vindicates its 10 activists, who were convicted over a demonstration outside the Cape Town Civic Centre in 2013. The Cape Town High Court ruled against the law and overturned their convictions in January this year. But, the Minister of Police challenged the judgement. Wisani Makhubele reports..
