The City of Ekurhuleni says it hopes the family of a small boy who fell down an abandoned mine shaft in the Jerusalem informal settlement in Boksburg east of Johannesburg at the start of 2017 will find consolation in their new RDP house. The boy's mother Nombeko Thole says she still struggles to accept that son who was five at the time of his death, is gone. Despite intensive search efforts, his body has not been recovered.
