Families of the deceased 141 mentally ill patients have lashed out at government for its decision to move their relatives to unlicensed NGOs, saying they would still be alive today, had they been left at Life Esidimeni facilities. Yesterday, more family members testified at the Life Esidimeni Arbitration in Parktown, Johannesburg, about how their loved ones were badly treated and appeared malnourished. Meanwhile, a representative of another NGO has conceded that neither did they have the capacity nor the competency to care for such vulnerable patients. Wisani Makhubele reports.....
