The Social Security Agency (SASSA) is now free to impose a ban on new applications for funeral policy deductions from children's grants. This follows an agreement with Lion of Africa Assurance, an insurance company that had taken issue with the ban. SASSA has agreed to withdraw their Constitutional Court appeal after Lion of Africa said they would not enforce a High Court interdict against the ban.
