A recent judgment from the Western Cape High Court is threatening to derail the disciplinary hearing of SABC COO Hlaudi Motoseneng. The inquiry was adjourned until tomorrow for the parties to look at the implications of that judgment. The judgment in review proceedings set aside the permanent appointment of Motsoeneng. The disciplinary proceedings were recommended by the Public Protector who found that, among other things, Motsoeneng had lied about his matric qualifications. Motsoeneng's lawyer, Zola Majavu also objected to the appointment of a new pro-forma prosecutor. We spoke to Majavu shortly after the adjournment....
