Asia and Africa are home to nearly three quarters of overweight and obese children worldwide, largely driven by consumption of unhealthy diets. Growing concern for obesity has been highlighted in the latest UN annual report titled "The Sate of Food Security and Nutrition in the World" released this week. Although breakfast is deemed a key meal to making sure that children, as well as adults, can function well throughout the day, many breakfast products are said to be lacking the essential nutritional benefits.
