The United Nations World Food Programme. WFP is scaling up assistance in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC following renewed inter-ethnic violence. In Ebola-afflicted Ituri province, where a resurgence of clashes has claimed at least one-hundred-and-sixty lives in recent weeks, WFP intends to triple, to 300-thousand the number of internally displaced people it supports with life-saving food and cash.
