The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is alarmed by the forgotten Cameroon conflict which is producing mounting humanitarian needs. According to the United Nations, more than half a million people have fled their homes in the North-West and South-Western parts of the country. The crisis in the English-speaking parts of Cameroon started with peaceful protests in late 2016, but has escalated to a violent conflict between the government military and non-state armed groups.
