The return of former vice president of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Jean-Pierre Bemba is expected to shake up politics in the DRC. Bemba arrived in the capital Kinshasa yesterday to mount a presidential bid to succeed incumbent Joseph Kabila. The much anticipated DRC national polls have been scheduled to be staged in December 23rd. Since attaining independence from Belgium in 1960, the DRC which is Africa's biggest copper producer hasn't had a peaceful transfer of power.
