The Water Footprint Network has published Water Footprint of seven Sub-Saharan Africa coutries. Ruth Mathews, Executive Director of Water Footpring Network says the study was commissioned by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the profiles use the science of water footprint to provide a new and valuable perspective into pressure the agricultural sector is putting on available water resources in these countries.
