Two pioneering South African researchers were recently honoured at the 2016 Women in Science Awards. Professor Catherine Ngila and Professor Esther Akinlabi are both from the University of Johannesburg. In an exclusive interview we asked them about changes in the demographic composition of the technology and science arena, with increasing representation of women in both the professional and academic space.
