• The arrest of a South African mother, Lauren Dickason, for the murder of her three daughters in New Zealand has again shone a spotlight on filicide.
• The 40-year-old South African woman has been arrested in New Zealand. Lauren Dickason is charged with the murder of her three young children.
• 6-year-old Liane and 2-year-old twins, Maya and Karla were found dead in their home in Timaru. They were discovered  by their father
• Dickason appeared in court on Saturday in New Zealand and will remain in custody for psychological evaluation.
• It’s suspected the children may have been strangled with cable ties.
