South Africa's first batch of Covid-19 vaccine doses arrives in the country today.
This first batch, of 1 million vaccine doses, was approved by the SA Health Products Regulatory Authority at record speed.
The Covishield doses come from pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca and were manufactured in India, through the Serum Insitute of India.
But the south african united business confederation are concerned about the process of awarding contracts for the transporting, storage and security of the vaccines.
