Participants included Deputy Minister of Finance Dr David Masondo; Ian Kirk, CEO of Sanlam; Mr Asanda Notshe, Fund Manager at Mazi Capital; Bonolo Ramokhele Treasury general of the Black Business Council; and Anthony Govender, CEO of Assegai Strategic Investments.
These participants are trying to find long lasting innovative solutions to overcome systemic challenges, that will drive inclusivity in the mainstream economy.
Transformation in the financial sector is not merely a question of ownership, but rather one of how the sector supports real economic activity.
The core focus of the engagement unpacked the role of pension funds to drive economic growth, and emphasise the inclusivity of black asset managers and brokers.
