The former South African Open champion, Andy Sullivan, of England held the lead following the first round of the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Championship.
Sullivan produced a flawless round of eight-under-par 64 to hold a one-stroke lead at Leopard Creek.
Sullivan sank eight birdies and didn't drop a single shot during his strong opening round.
A further stroke back, the 21-year-old Casey Jarvis of South Africa, as well as Alex Fitzpatrick of England and Marcus Kinhult of Sweden finished on seven-under-par 65 for a share of second.
The defending champion, Louis Oosthuizen, opened this title defence with one-under-par 71.
