Gauteng could see a spike in the number of Covid-19 cases in January as residents return home from their various holiday destinations. This is according to the University of Witwatersrand scientist Professor Bruce Mellado.

Mellado sits on the province's Covid-19 advisory committee and is leading the team studying the virus' patterns in Gauteng.
