In this episode, Jerry describes the shocking decline among Israel in their devotion the One God, morality and justice.  Worst of all, while they willingly accepted God's grace, blessings and privileges as God's Chosen People, they forgot and spurned their responsibility to be a blessing of God's light to the rest of the world.  And all of this after God's fulfillment, in the reign of Solomon, of many of His promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  God spoke to His people through the 16 prophets in the OT, four "major" and 12 "minor".  Through these prophets, God pointed out and rebuked the people of Israel of the  many ways in which they had deviated terribly from God's plan for them.  The prophets exhorted the Israelites to recognize and correct their wayward lives and get with God's plan for them or face horrible judgment.
