Lou Furry is the State Director of the American Legion Riders
and Gateway Riders of the American Legion Post 7, Hardwick VT.
The family of Legionnaire riders are well known for their charitable work (raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children's hospitals, schools, veterans homes, wounded servicemembers and scholarships.) Since 2006, riders Nationwide have participated in the annual Legion Legacy Run to raise money for the Legacy Scholarship Fund (providing scholarships to children of U.S. military personnel killed since Sept. 11, 2001). Today Lou talks about his Gateway Riders of Hardwick and the importance of keeping these organizations and the Legion family alive and well in Vermont, and America.
