In the world of business start-ups, the watch words are “fail fast.” If there is something wrong with your current business plan, you want to know about it as soon as possible, fail quickly, and move on to the next iteration of your business plan. This is preferable to a long slow drawn out death, where you are pouring energy and resources into a business that was bound to fail anyway. In our gospel today, we see Jesus adopting the same strategy.
