We talked about the four programs of Scouting, Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA (formerly Boy Scouts), Venturing, which is outdoor adventure-based, and Exploring, which is career-based.

We discussed finding a unit near you at https://beascout.scouting.org/ and about joining night events at units throughout the Finger Lakes. Christine shared her experiences watching the growth of her son and daughter through Scouting. 

We talked about how Scouts take more responsibility for running their units' meetings as they grow older.
