In this episode of the TechEducator Podcast, we discuss the new Google Spaces. Google Spaces is a brand new way of thinking about learning communities as well as a great place to share content and great conversations with your friends and family. Built on the Google Apps platform, Google Spaces allows two or more people to share a conversation and link shareable media files in that conversation such as photos, video, and Google Docs (links only at this point). To use Spaces, simply create or join a Google Space. The environment revolves around a series of questions and answers. A user can ask a question and inside of that question, users can engage in conversation on the topic. This allows you to do multiple questions (or conversations) all in the the same Google Space group without having overlapping messages or what could be called "cross threading." The TechEducator Podcast is a weekly round table discussion about current topics in educational technology. For more information, please visit www.techeducatorpodcast.com.
