Listen as Ms Salas, Ms Castro and Mr Miraglia talk to the Podcasters from the Summer Enrichment Class of 2020 about their experience with podcasting and learning about how to use critical thinking skills to analyze social media posts and new sources.
As we near the end of the year Jose T, Itzel, and Aaliyah discuss with Mr Covey and Mr Miraglia the highlights of the year, what accomplishments they made while at Mendez, what skills are taking with them to high school and funniest moments while at school.
Today with our guests Jose, Aaliyah and Samantha we talk about what the schools of the future would look like. Mr Covey also covers the topic of social and emotional considerations that should be taken with students. Finally, the students speak out about what message they would like both teachers and school leaders to consider when thinking about opening school sites.
Today we will focus on the topic of emergency distance learning from a student perspective. Our guests are Andrew, Karla, Itzel, Samantha, and Daniela, our resident Miscellaneous Mustangs podcaster. The students will provide insight into the daily routine of emergency distance learning, the positives (sleeping in) and challenges (communication). They will also comment on what they would like to see if the current state of affairs continues into the fall.
Mr Covey and Mr Miraglia interview Jose T and Samantha D as they talk about how they are spending time at home during the Safe at Home weeks of April. Also we hear from the two of them about their reactions to finding out about school being closed for the rest of the year as well as recommendations to surviving the remainder of the time away from school.
Our crew interviews Mr Cisneros two weeks ago as he anticipates the publishing of his book Efren Divided. In addition they interview Mr Covey who recently read the book. The book was published on March 31st.

This episode is dedicated to the passing of the basketball great Kobe Bryant as Omar and Jose interview teachers and students about his tragic death. The second part of the episode touches on the subject of anime as Daniela, Andrea, Omar and Dallas discuss the genre.
In Episode 5 World War 3 is about to start so in come the memes. Daniella and Andrea will be talking World War III memes and Omar and Jose will be talking about the memories they had in 2019 and how their winter break went.

In this episode the girls will discuss the rage over Vsco girls with an interview with Juliette. Jose interviews people about favorite games. Omar, Victor and Jose talk gaming.
Gil and Vanessa discuss the 8th grade year and memories from Mendez. The 6th grade girls talk about the memories of the first day of school and how the year has progressed.
