Before becoming a REALTOR®, Meg Czapiewski spent 29 years serving our nation in the Air Force. During this time, she got married, raised four children, and lived all over the world. If there’s anyone that understands the challenges of moving and balancing family life, it’s Meg.

When Meg was a Squadron Commander in England, she began a tradition of hosting a Mother’s Day brunch for the families in her unit. “Two-thirds of our squadron was deployed, so we started hosting a brunch for moms whose spouses were deployed. We gave the kids the tickets so they could treat their moms. We had activities for kids and a nice brunch for moms. The idea was to allow them to relax from the ominous responsibility of being a single mom with a deployed husband,” Meg explains.

“My father encountered many situations, as a manager, where people he had trained were promoted over him due to the color of his skin,” Catina explains. “So he left that world and raised us to build our own thing that could not be taken away. He encouraged us to not become trapped by the glass ceiling in corporate America and to never let someone else dictate our worth or income.”

Catina watched her father start multiple businesses before finding the one that really stuck — a residential and commercial security system business that he grew to become very successful. While Catina took her father’s lessons to heart, inheriting his tremendous work ethic, focus, and discipline, it took her some time to fully tap into her entrepreneurial side.

With interest rates and prices on the rise, agents are trying to convince clients that homeownership is the way to go.

“If REALTORS® don’t have homeownership, they don’t have a job,” Molly Flory explains.

Molly is a senior account executive with Old Republic Home Protection. In an article by CNBC, roughly two thirds of homeowners had to fix an unexpected home issue within the first year of living in their home. They reported spending more than a $1,000 to fix the issue.

“People are paying top dollar to get into their homes right now,” Molly says. “Let's say, two months after someone moves into their home, the heat pump goes out. That’s where Old Republic would come in, and we would repair or replace that heat pump.”

After providing the service, Old Republic follows up with the agent to let them know that they are taking care of their client after closing.

Molly explains that, while agents deliver homeownership, ORHP is there to take care of homeownership. “We walk hand-in-hand with Realtors to protect them and their clients,” Molly adds.

These are the adjectives that people closest to him use to describe Jordan Dobbs. Jordan’s motivation to succeed was born out of necessity, when he was diagnosed in elementary school with severe dyslexia.

“My teachers told my mom that it would be very difficult for me to learn how to read and write, and that I probably wouldn’t graduate from high school, much less go to college,” says Jordan. “My mom wouldn’t accept that, so she found a private school that was able to give me the support I needed. The environment was encouraging, and I became so motivated to defy the odds. All I wanted was to accomplish all the things they said I wouldn’t be able to do.”

"I really, truly believe that someone will achieve their goal if they have a purpose behind doing so, not because I told them to. And that's how we think about our life, and that's how we wanted our agents to be. The last thing I want is anyone on our team stressed out because they can't make this number that we gave them or and some of us like, we're never going to give ourselves a number that's too high. We give ourselves a number that we want to achieve that will make us happy, live our lives and not dread working. So that's how we want our agents to be as well."

✔️ A client-centric real estate team. "That's one of the reasons why we don't pressure our agents to sell because we'd rather have them take care of their clients in an ethical, proper manner because that is our brand on the line with consumers, and we want to make sure that they are taken care of 100% correctly."

✔️ Be coachable if you want to do coaching; this is a vital attribute to succeed in the business of helping people such as real estate. For 15 years, Laurie Mensing has been happily working in the real estate industry. She is recognized as the #1 agent in the Northern VA region for Long and Foster/Christie's International and ranks consistently in the top 1% of realtors nationwide.

Learn more from Laurie as she shares her story in this new Real Estate Success and Support show with Kristin Brindley.

Key points covered in the episode:

✔️ Master your mind and control your attitude. Laurie Mensing turns to a self-help book published in 1903 as a guide and reminder of having a winning mindset and properly channeling her energies to live a fulfilling life. "What I have hanging in my powder room is The Optimist Creed, from one of my favorite books of all time, 'As A Man Thinketh' by James Allen. Our attitude is one of the few things we can control; every day, we can choose to be positive or allow negativity and people to creep into our world. We decide if we allow ourselves to be brought down or pick ourselves up and carry on."

✔️ Leave kindness wherever you go. Laurie has closed nearly half a billion dollars in her career, including over $73 million in 2020. She takes pride in a realtor's important role in helping clients make significant life decisions. "Being a good negotiator, caring about my clients, and being kind through the process of real estate, I believe that is one thing I'm kind of proud of."

✔️ Redefining success. Earning money to feed your family is one reason people go into the real estate industry, but beyond that is being able to afford a lifestyle that can help so many others. For Laurie, "people define success monetarily, but I think that a balanced family, a balanced personal world, and just leaving a little kindness wherever you go is how success looks like."

Real producer and top realtor Stacy Allwein's mantra in life is fully described in this line: "Word hard, play hard and love hard!"

While running a high-powered real estate business, she devotes her efforts to support people in dire need of help. As a result, she is awarded the Frederick County Association of REALTORS® 2018 Community Service Award and the Frederick County "Do-Gooder" award for all that she does to give back.

Discover what compels her to help as many people as she can and be inspired by her journey as she shares her story in this new episode of the Real Estate Success and Support show with Kristin Brindley.

Key points covered in the episode:✔️ Success means helping other people. For Stacy, she compassionately volunteers to help those that are suffering from addiction. Her career in real estate started from a painful family tragedy after losing her brother to a drug overdose. The stress made her decide to leave her career as a director in the biotech industry for many years. "I had two relatively young kids, a husband, and work was stressful. So that was one thing that we decided that we could control. We had been investing in real estate for some time and decided that one of us would become a realtor. And it made sense for me to do that. So that's where it began in 2008, which wasn't the best time to become a realtor, but that's where it began."

✔️ The importance of seeking guidance. Stacy Allwein attributes her real estate success to receiving coaching, constantly learning about her chosen career, and working on self-development. She's had the same coach since 2010 and brings in the experience for her whole team to get on their next level.

✔️ A career in real estate fulfills dreams when you dare to pursue it. Stacy has nothing butgratitude for taking action despite the challenging choices she had to make. "I believe that I did the right thing when I left my job and the support of my husband. He was 100% supportive financially; it was a really hard decision, and we had some tough times when I first got into the real estate business. Having great coaches and mentors guided me through the process. I couldn't have done it without having those people surrounding me."

✔️ Hard work pays off but doing the right thing is what's vital in this industry. "It's important to always do the right thing no matter what. I'm a rule follower. And so, whether it's following the rules or just doing the right thing in life, I think it's essential."

Please tune in and be inspired by her journey in this new episode of the Real Estate Success and Support show ✍️ , and check our Cover Story on Stacey in the May issue of DC Metro Real Producers! https://dcmetrorealproducers.com/cover-story-stacey-allwein/

Join me in this value-packed episode as I share the screen with top producer Allen "AJ" Johnson. He tells his story of being a used car salesman and the unforgettable experience of buying a house at the age of 24 — how he went to every open house but no one would talk to him since he didn't look like the typical buyer. Finally, he went to meet a realtor who had set up an appointment but stood him up! It became a sign that led him to twenty years of a successful career in real estate.

Today, he represents AJ Team Realty, recognized as the Nation's Top 200 KW Real Estate Team. He continues to blaze the trail in servicing Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland. His team made $85M in a pandemic year and are well on their way earning $100M in 2021.

This episode will surely inspire you, and, like Allen, you will realize that focusing on growing yourself and your leadership is the best success strategy in the real estate business and life.

Key points covered in the episode:

✔️ Glean lessons how growing up as dyslexic, Allen had many difficulties reading and couldn't capture that information as quickly as others. However, he developed other skills to understand others more and relate to certain people, which proved to become his assets in the real estate industry.

✔️ How his bestselling book "50 Things Your Real Estate Agent Should Tell You But Probably Won't" is a testimony of how he overcame challenges and gained wisdom and experience that other agents, clients, and other industry professionals asked him about for advice.

✔️ "In the real estate industry, many people are producers. But you have got to set yourself apart and become a LEADER." So it's all about how you can lead other people to be better people first to become the best producers and sell the homes.

✔️ Do not underestimate the work behind growth. Allen reminds us that change happens with reading lots of books, attending leadership seminars, learning from people who came before you, and preparing for that moment when you are called to serve clients and a big team.

✔️ Remember that you are short-circuiting your growth potential the longer you look at the people around you as competition. There's a large pie for all of us. Building relationships with realtors in your marketplace can change your business. You may be one relationship away from a breakthrough, but you're missing out.

✔️ How an aggressive real estate market right now can be hurtful. Allen calls on people to understand these difficult times, especially agents of Asian heritage. "We are a community. We're a family. At the end of the day, when the market goes from aggressive to non-aggressive, we still would be in the same game. So we need to handle each other with a little more care during these times and be a little more aware that people are going through some things that we may not truly understand."

In the past 30 years, Kelly Katalinas has built the reputation of being a loan officer who earnestly listens and ensures being the best solutions provider.

Voted into the Washingtonian magazine as a Top Mortgage Professional for 2021, she proves that she is the preferred partner in the real estate transaction by customers and real estate professionals.

I am thrilled to share this value-packed conversation with Kelly as we highlight her contributions to the industry. She serves as Branch Manager and Certified Military Mortgage Specialist at Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation.

Key points covered in the episode:

✔️ As a top mortgage professional, the last three decades taught Kelly Katalinas the trade strategies and the importance of loving what you do. "Achieve longevity by creating relationships over time and become a force in the real estate community. There's a reason the average loan officer age right now is in their fifties. I'm probably older than the average right now, but that's because they've been out on the street, and they've done the business a million different ways in a million other markets. There's room for everybody in the industry. Find it, work hard at it and understand that you need balance in your life. It can't be all or nothing. It has to be balanced and how you're building your growth."

✔️ Become more to serve more. Kelly lives by this principle. She emphasizes the importance of investing in one's growth and being a connector in building partnerships and communities for sustainable business.

✔️ Be unique and set yourself apart with an impeccable reputation and provide top-notch service. Kelly's goal is to provide an excellent experience for all parties to the home buying transaction.

✔️ Since the pandemic and into 2021, the industry moves and changes. The shifting nature of the real estate market inspires Kelly to keep learning and growing to adapt to the pandemic's unique circumstances.

✔️ You always have to ask. "When you're new, you're a little afraid of rejection, so you shy away from the asking. But if you've provided a good service for someone, if you've delivered and you've constantly tried to validate that, ask if there's anything else you could be doing to assist them, to make the output way better for them, and ask for that feedback. Take feedback positively so that you would grow so much more quickly; instead of looking at those responses as criticism, you're never going to get off the ground. So you have to take that feedback as feedback, not criticism."

Join me as I share the screen with Joey Donofrio of Donofrio & Associates, the largest, non franchised commercial and home inspection company in the DMV.

Joey shares his experience first dipping into the home inspection industry, working summer jobs for his father, a former Olympic fencer whose discipline and work ethic Joey greatly learned by. In 2015, Joey became principal owner and took the company to become bigger and bolder.

Key points covered in the episode:

✔️ Learn the story of why Joey says that he wasn't genuinely passionate about home inspecting in the beginning. "I am a Business Administration major with a focus on Finance and Economics. When I got out, I started my personal growth journey through a network marketing company, and it made me realize what a vehicle my dad had created — an excellent word-of-mouth business!

✔️ Joey Donofrio states that what equalizes the footing for everyone regardless of your background is the commitment to grow yourself. "I can't think of how many books I read before college. I've read—hundreds after college. I listen to audiobooks that changed my mindset and changed my life. Some of us get stuck and think, "oh, I only went to a state college." How can I compete with people who went to Harvard? Through personal growth!

✔️ A home inspection is a significant event, not just for the buyers but for all parties involved. Partnering with a quality home inspection company is just as crucial!

✔️ Many people buying houses are primarily first-timers. We are often not handy, so many of us don't know the maintenance that a home requires. Therefore home inspection is an educational experience, and handling the client with care through the inspection process is vital.

✔️ Not all home inspectors are created equal. Joey shares that his company has a hand in training inspectors to elevate the industry and elevate the home inspectors within their area. The home inspection profession is unique because it's about doing an excellent assessment and handling the customers by teaching.

Donofrio and Associates offer virtual inspection options, same-day reporting and are open seven days a week.

Whether you plan to move a few streets across or relocate to another state, it can be downright stressful. In this episode, we turn the spotlight to our valued partner, Town and Country Movers, Inc., providing top-notch personalized service to make the process smooth and reduce the burden of those making a significant life change.

Since opening its doors in 1977, Town and Country Movers, Inc. has served individuals and businesses in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas as a full-service moving and storage provider. With their memorable tagline, "Let Our Family Move Your Family," the company lives on its great mission.

I am delighted to speak with Jason Bass and Ryan Bass as the second-generation leadership at Town and Country in this new episode.

As featured in the 40 Under 40 issue of NOVA Real Producers, we talk about character, integrity, and the excellent family business they run.

Key points covered in the episode:

✔️ Ryan Bass and Jason Bass share their story of trying out as packers and movers, learning the ins and outs of the company before taking part in the family business.

✔️ We hear many horror stories and nightmare scenarios that follow moving companies that don't care about the customer. It would be best if you entrusted relocation goals to people you can trust. Town and Country Movers Inc. commits to ensuring every client ends their move the right way, doing so with 40 years of experience.

✔️ Town & Country Movers, Inc. continues to scale, providing international moving services and working with seniors relocating to a new residence, serving as staging partners for realtors, and providing short or long-term storage.

✔️ Success is not without a series of challenges. Ryan Bass, Vice President at Town & Country Movers, Inc., tells how they managed to stay on top of the industry and to stay efficient without compromising customer service in the last four decades.

✔️ Throughout the moving process, good communication is vital. Town and Country Movers' Jason Bass attributes the company's success by maintaining good communication and always being honest with their clients. Moving can be one of the most stressful events in life; it helps to show that understanding and care shines through. "Smiling always helps, mask or no mask."

✔️ We all understand when a customer needs someone to hold their hand during the moving process, whether it's their first time using professional movers or possibly someone in their older age using movers for the last time.

✔️ The company's secret weapon is the professional movers trained in customer service, and they love what they do. "That's why we have the reputation that we do. It's not us as salespeople or the people who started the company or the infrastructure here, but it's really our movers."

It's time to get one-on-one with Alex Martinez; he runs one of the D.C. metro area's top real estate teams. His team has shown explosive growth reaching $260M in 2020 and is on track to grow more. In this new episode, Alex tells his inspiring journey to real estate success that made it a Cover Story on the April issue of D.C. Metro Real Producers! Key points covered in the episode:

✔️ Every real estate master was once a part-timer. Alex arrived in Maryland at the age of 16 and got his real estate license at 19. He was only a few years settling in adjusting to the culture and language when he decided to juggle college and a side hustle. "At first, I did not choose real estate. Real estate chose me, and it was my destiny. I'm a firm believer that God has put me on this path. I started from nothing, and I've done every job you can think of. At that time, I decided that I was going to college, and I got to figure out a way of making some money while keeping my attention on my education."

✔️ From building houses to building people. Alex's grandfather and mother worked in real estate. That wasn't something that he wanted to do because his goal was to be an architect. "I don't want anything to do with real estate. I need to get a degree I love because I have a passion for building and design. And that's what I wanted to do. Little that I know, I was gifted with something; it's not just the selling, but I can meet, relate and help many people, and it got me to do what I was called to do.”

✔️ Alex aims to "paint the town red" as there is a lot of growth to come for the brokerage of which he is the owner and regional partner. "The Agency has a tremendous presence on the West Coast, but not many people know about the Agency on the East Coast. We want to ensure that everybody gets to know about what The Agency is all about and its collaboration aspect."

✔️ Learn from Alex's most significant challenges and learnings when he started as a real estate agent. He did not have the proper guidance and the right infrastructure as a whole. "I feel like having to learn from my own mistakes and having someone to collaborate with is so crucial. Now, when I look back, and I realize that the things that I could have done differently than I have implemented just because I had to learn by my own mistakes."

✔️ The rewards of real estate are empowering others to accomplish big goals and get to where they want to be with your help and coaching through the process.

✔️ Authenticity is crucial in being of service to others. "Money comes and goes, but good people are rare to find. I just want to be true to myself, and people to remember me as the guy who was the real one. That's just what I strive for. I want to be an open letter. Anyone can read me at any time and be able to be there for others."

✔️ Alex defines success as having inner peace and learning that "money is good on your part but not in your heart." Success has that piece as being content with what you have, being grateful for what has been given to you, not looking at your neighbor and comparing yourself to others, but looking within you.

In this new episode, we sit and talk to one of our valued partners, Molly Flory, an expert in the home warranty industry for 25 years. She is the account executive at Old Republic Home Protection, an outstanding Home Warranty Service provider since 1974. An affiliate member and Member of NAR, NVAR, PWAR, GPAR & Women's Council of Realtors, Molly is serving Northern Virginia and surrounding areas and has sold 30 million dollars plus home warranties.

Key points covered in the episode:

✔️ Understand the value of the home warranty. After buyers get the house most of the time, they can't afford to pay out-of-pocket surprise home repairs after closing.

✔️ Why it is a myth to say that all home warranties are the same. Molly states that there are different coverages and different types of services, and realtors must be careful in choosing the best one. So many companies come into the area and are not overseen by the Department of Insurance.

✔️ How the Old Republic truly lives by "People Helping People" as the foundation of everything they do and not just the motto. "It's all about service. The whole concept is when working with a homeowner when they call us and they are not happy because something's broken and not working, the mentality is to think, what if it is your mom, your dad, or your child on the phone? That is having empathy and making sure to render solutions fast.

At some point, you will need a person who will be at your service — a Judy, who will be your right hand and who is always there whenever you need someone you can trust with your personal and business lifestyle needs.

In this new episode, we sit and talk to one of our valued partners Tonya Glenn, owner and founder of Judy On The Spot, an in-demand home and office organizers service.

Key points covered in the episode:

✔️ The idea for the company came when Tonya, at specific points in her life, needed a "Judy" -- a right hand! With her corporate life taking over and it got to the fact that her house was a wreck, she wasn't keeping up maintenance on her home, didn't have time to get the car washed or shop for groceries, and forgot to pick up dry cleaning.

✔️ Tonya's over 20 years of project management experience is the most significant factor why Judy On The Spot provides efficient client-focused service, going the extra mile to take care of human beings while they're working so hard.

✔️ What makes Judy On The Spot different from other services is how they are indeed a one-stop-shop. If you need someone to come in to handle a project within your home, such as moving, you'll have an organizing team, a packing team, have a handyman, and you have a stager all in one place. You make one call, and Judy will be responsible for coordinating all those services for you. So you only have to speak to one person.

✔️ For real estate professionals, Judy On The Spot can increase the speed to market clients' homes for you. You don't want to sit there and wait for them to do this project of the cluttering, packing them up, playing in their homes, staging it, and preparing it to go on the market. You can call Judy on the spot, and they can handle all those things for you all in one place.

✔️ There is an expected increase in people relocation. People realize that they don't have to work where they live. And many baby boomers are ready to shut it down, downsize, but they don't have the energy or the ability to pack up the clutter, prepare their home for selling, or when they move to their new home. Judy On The Spot sets it up to form this a turnkey service.

About Tonya Glenn:

Tonya is the owner and founder of Judy On The Spot.

She has an MBA in business and technology. She’s spent 25 years planning, organizing, and solving problems for large and small efforts. Best known for creating order out of chaos, her team has an average 5 to 15 years experience in their fields. Staffed with organizers, home stagers, packing specialists, cleaners, porters, administrative assistants and handymen, using proven methods and processes with the extra care and attention to the clients’ needs.

Giving back is contagious and can act as a catalyst for an organization or a community to be inspired and succeed. A positive engagement in any event that "gives back" has the power to encourage others to do the same.

With any profession, especially with real estate investing, actions speak louder than words. Every realtor plays an essential role in the real estate community, and they take it as a moral imperative to give back. In fact, realtors have a far more significant impact and influence on their community more than they say. As a logical consequence, by proactively engaging and giving back to the community, realtors set the example for others to emulate.

Tune in to this week's episode of Real Estate Success and Support; take this as an invitation —a call for engagement. Appreciate every opportunity to support the community and extend help in every possible way you can. Pay extra attention to charitable activities or start something new that you're more enthusiastic about; whatever you do, exert efforts to make a difference.

Key takeaways you'll learn in the episode:

  • Give, and you shall receive. Such is Christine's life-principle and the secret why she has been going strong for 31 years now, with $534 million in total volume.
  • Work hard and be generously magnanimous like Christine Richardson so that everyone you come in contact with should be better because they met you or because you were in their lives.
  • Look at success through a different lens. Success most of the time is about money. But, it can also be making a difference in the world through your interactions with others.
  • Good realtors have empathy. Hear how Christine managed to overcome a significant challenge in handling clients by staying calm and very confident at all times.
  • Acknowledge how getting involved in your local association can be powerfully rewarding—we are all in this together.

Finding a balanced life and making the most out of living a big and full life isn't only indispensable in achieving satisfaction and well-being. Instead, it further boosts you to be more productive and succeed in your business or career. An even-keeled and accomplished person is much more capable of focusing their energy and attention on accomplishing their goals, implementing effective decisions, and pushing forward positively.

🟥 Realtors have a lot on their shoulders. Understand that they get paid well, but they earn every dollar because of their ability to make things happen, solve problems, and make sure that people are getting the most amount of money when it comes to their sales.

🟥 People growing makes a lot of people uncomfortable. But despite that, play big in life and don't shrink yourself down to fit what other people are comfortable with.

🟥 A simple reminder in living life to the fullest: Don't be scared to help each other out and point things out that you think they might not be aware of because that will contribute to everybody's success.

You must do much more than raising money if you'd like a chance to become wealthy.

In real estate, those who succeeded aren't born overnight. It requires time, persistence, trial, and error to understand the industry's ins and outs.

You may be saying to yourself, "This isn't the right time to explore investing."

However, there is no perfect time to talk about investing. Eventually, time will tell when that will happen, and usually, it comes with an undesirable life lesson where you're left with choices whether to sink or swim. But why let that happen when you can act now and avoid these not-so-desirable outcomes?

Real estate investment — and the opportunity to have a backup, passive income — piqued Joe's interest. With his consistency, hard work, and determination, Joe has become both a champion of achieving financial freedom through real estate investing and a provider of opportunities for low-income D.C. residents over the past two-plus decades.

Here's what you'll learn in this episode:

  • Life can be so unpredictable, things happen. You might have a job today and lose that same job tomorrow—that's the reality. Then, what happens if you were to lose your job? What are you going to do then? Joe Asamoah's advice is to make sure you have a plan B.
  • "It was like baptism in fire," that's how Joe described his experiences in achieving success in real estate. Most infomercial products did not include all the horror stories he went through. But he managed to break the limits, resigned from his corporate job, and is now reaping the benefits. Learn the techniques first hand from Joe by tuning in to the entire show.
  • Don't just be wise—be a genius. A wise man learns from his mistakes; a genius learns from other people's mistakes. Learn from other people's mistakes by identifying seasoned people who will tell you how to navigate the minefield and avoid landmines on this road to financial independence.
  • There are many investors, but only a few succeeded. To reach your success, associate with people who've been through the ups and downs, and they'll tell you successful strategies on how to perform in the bad times.
  • Make money and do good. Joe always believed that the pie is much bigger for everyone. What comes around goes around. He's determined to help agents and families because he firmly believes the help he invested will always come back to him.

How To Achieve Success by Taking Full Control of Your Time

Time is life's greatest equalizer. You always had the same length of time as everyone else regardless of your age, wealth, gender, ethnicity, or faith. Everyone's time will be the same whether you're fabulously wealthy or filthy poor. However, it makes no difference how much time you get. It all comes down to how well you control your time. Serious target setting involves unblinking attention to productive time, and if you don't value your time, achieving success will be an uphill battle.

Learn from Carl Craig, a musician, business owner, U.S. Customs official, Air Force pilot, Fortune 500 executive, and now a home inspector. Draw inspiration and motivation on how he achieved success by taking complete control of his time and how his "do-over" of spending time with his family led him to build a lucrative HomeTeam Inspection Service.

Here are the main points discussed in the episode:

  • Many people assume that retirement revolves around receiving pensions and doing nothing. But for Carl Craig, retiring from not just one but three overlapping careers doesn't stop him. He was able to take the real-estate world by storm in his HomeTeam Inspection business.
  • Family comes first. Although Carl felt accomplished in wearing his various hats, he felt guilty of not being at home; he was always gone. Such a realization is Carl's eye-opener wherein he decided to take complete control of his time and achieve success in real estate.
  • What's most rewarding for Carl is making sure that people feel comfortable with the most significant financial transaction of their lifetime.
  • Leading the way, Carl couldn't imagine a family living with their kids in a house that might compromise their lives. Consequently, he started educating agents on the significance of home inspections and how to make both ends meet for all the parties involved.

Providing an Environment In Which People Want To Stay In with Kay Houghton

It's a two-way street when it comes to forming a team. On the one hand, your employees promise to bring their expertise and knowledge to carry the business forward. Employers, on the other side, offer to reward them for what they do.

Yet there's so much more to this two-way street.

Setting a team up for success boils down to how you best support people mentally, creatively, and physically. It's not as complicated as it can appear—even the simple acts will help build a productive work atmosphere and make employees feel respected and valued members of the team.

In this episode of Real Estate Success and Support, let's get to the bottom of how Kay Houghton achieved success by providing an environment in which people want to stay. Believe it or not, this strategy made Kay a rising star that shines brightly with $ 55,000,000 in sales.

Key takeaways covered in the episode:

  • Have earmarks of Kay's story of how she had a very financially tumultuous childhood that motivated her to attain financial stability at a very young age.
  • Take as a role model how Kay achieved success in real estate by seeing the opportunity for growth in starting a business that employs people and building lucrative wealth for people.
  • Resonate with Kay's vision to somehow influence the industry when it does come to benefits. She sees a transition from being an independent contractor to someone who doesn't worry about where the next paycheck is coming from—not worrying about the ups and downs, weathering the economy's storm, and not having affordable health care.
  • Be reminded that one tragedy can completely wipe out a lifetime of hard work. So if you want to make real estate your career, it has to be a business. After all, real estate is something that is so much more stable.
  • Understand that the definition of success changes on a day-to-day basis. Thus, it would be best to continuously try to improve and approach life with genuine passion, curiosity, and non-ulterior motives.

How to Achieve Success by Understanding the Challenges with Tripp Kelly

Kristin Brindley and Real Estate Success and Support believe that you can achieve success in many ways.

Relative to the real estate realm, you must provide a unique service that clients will not find anywhere else to maximize profitability and minimize client churn. To do so, you need to understand the challenges to be superior to any of your competitors.

Tripp Kelly's team is one of the top 500 in the country for their assets under management. They have a whopping $ 800,000,000 under asset management. What's impressive about it is they've done it in a short relative period.

If you're curious how they've done that, tune in to this week's episode, How to Achieve Success by Understanding the Challenges with Tripp Kelly.

Key takeaways covered in the episode:

  • Take a leaf out of Tripp Kelly's book about how his father wanted him to be a civil engineer. But due to some twist of fate, he started selling insurance policies and ended up being a million-dollar earning businessman.
  • Bring into practical action that growth comes from helping clients build a comprehensive financial plan. The big differentiator today is making the balance sheet approach, not just product focus.
  • Get the message that there are lots of products pushing people in the financial planning industry. They call themselves financial planners, but they're just salesmen. Thus, it's essential to have a perfect financial circle of trust.
  • Realize the impact of being a go-giver and understand why go-givers get more. Implement these insights to ensure that your clients get the same experience, deliverable, and the same high-touch environment that everybody else does.

Achieving Success Through Collaboration That Feeds Opportunities For Growth With The Menkiti Group and The Masons

Strengthening your organization’s capacity for collaboration is crucial for expansion. When people come together and contribute their expertise for the benefit of a shared objective, project, or mission, particularly for projects that demand collaborative solutions, it leads to innovation, efficient processes, increased success, and improved communication. The process takes time and effort, but the payoff is well worth it. In Henry Ford's words: "Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success".

This week, we're featuring the February issue front cover of our publication, the real-life couples, “The Menkiti’s and The Mason’s.”

Key takeaways discussed in the episode:

  • Find out Bo and Kymber Menkiti’s backstory about reaching $ 2.4 billion in sales last year, owned one hundred million square feet of real estate, and invested $200 million into charities and communities.
  • Learn La Chica and Anthony Mason’s secret from starting as part-time real estate agents and now running the hundred million dollars real estate team (going toward two hundred million dollars).
  • Help make this world a better place by transforming lives, careers, and communities through real estate. Recognize that there's latent capacity in people, in careers and communities and physical buildings, that if you can tap into and let it out, it can amazingly serve others.
  • Learn about the "Miracle Mornings" and how it helped the Mason's, the Menkiti's, and their team pivot and get creative about protecting the mind space; how they've used the “Miracle Mornings” to ensure that from a mental perspective, everyone is tough on the team.
  • If you're an aspiring real estate agent, LIFT might be the platform where you can seek help. LIFT (Launching Into Full Time) is a group of agents, and the passion for transitional agents led to developing this group of agents who have a full-time job but aspire to be full-time agents.

Understand how persistence spells success in closing transactions. Carey shared about how to keep knocking on doors with real estate agents, let them know who you are, what you do, how you can help them out and give them reasons to look for business, find solutions, and be able to go and get a transaction.

Discover how to ride through the ebbs and flow of the cyclical industry. Carey gave suggestions on how to weather the storm with careful planning. The technique is discovering how to let go or step into the brakes while enjoying the ride.

Hear about how to reap the most rewarding commission of seeing the appreciation of people's faces and the excitement when they get to settle and get handed over the keys for their house. The secret to doing that? Carey says, "Do your business more than just because of the money."

Recognize how work ethics and competitively going where you want to offer services sets you apart from the competition.

What learning something new every day can do in dealing with surprises in the industry. Realize the value of why businesses should stay on top of the guidelines and continuously study their products.
