The development, locally, of test kits for covid-19 will help ensure speedy testing. The kits were developed by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research together with biotechnology company CapeBio which is a local business. The SA Health Products Authority has approved the use of the kits. This move will also help South Africa cut down on imports.
