We are now in conversation with Premier candidate for the DA in the Western Cape, Alan Winde, who says they are optimistic that the party will retain power in the province. Support for the DA and ANC are down in the Western Cape according to the latest provisional election results. Vote counting has been completed in over 94 percent of voting stations. The provincial IEC is expected to give its final media briefing on the elections today.
