I was in a big box store looking to replace my well worn zipstrip drain cleaning tool, I came upon a new tool that will replace my ziptool. Not a day later, John was doing the same thing and I turned himonto the same tool (we will show it in a bit). We decided to do a show onmaintaining functionality as a handyman with fewer tools is possible bymaximizing the utility of the tools you have, improving your skills, and beingresourceful.

Here are some tips:

Master Basic Skills: Develop your skills incarpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and other essential trades. Beingproficient in basic skills allows you to tackle a variety of tasks with minimaltools.

Plan and Prioritize: Before starting a project, planit thoroughly. Identify the tools you'll need and organize your work area. Thishelps avoid unnecessary trips back and forth for tools.

Improvisation: Learn to improvise with thetools you have. For example, if you don't have a specific tool for a job, tryto adapt a tool you do have or create a makeshift solution.

Continue Learning: Stay updated on new techniquesand tools in your field. Learning innovative methods can help you accomplishtasks more efficiently with fewer tools.
