Mitti Cafe is a chain of cafes run completely by adults with physical,intellectual and psychiatric disability. Mitti has been featured in the Forbes list of 30 under 30 and has been the recipient of the NCPEDP Mindtree Hellen Keller Award ,Times-She Unlimited Award and Rotary Exemplar Award amongst others for their dedicated work. Over 100 people with disabilities work at Mitti Cafe and earn with dignity .However, due to the Covid 19 crises all their cafes are shut which has made it difficult for them to continue supporting their employees. Most of their employees come from extremely low income backgrounds and are often the only earning members of the family . Even during this difficult time they are raising donations and providing cooked meals and drinking water to 3500 daily wage earners and the homeless everyday .They have served over 253000 meals till now which are prepared by their dedicated staff with disability.
