Good early morning. This is Kristi with the Data Fit show. How are you guys this morning? I know it's been a minute and we've had a lot going on with this girl.

00:55

So I have found this app to be super helpful and I told you guys I would provide all the little tips and tricks that I've learned along the way during the show process.

1:54

I just want to have pure, unadulterated fun with this.

2:54

So I partner with them as well and they are just amazing human beings. I mean talk about support system. Holy cow. Really, really lucky.

3:55

And what else is coming up for me. Um, I'm having an hauling over vacation. Uh, it's one thing that I actually struggle with is taking time off for myself and you're probably going, wait a second.

4:43

All the things that, congratulations, it's been a crazy summer and I would never would have thought I'd been on a podcast.

5:33

Cause we know some are, sometimes you indulge a little bit too many vacations, too many barbecues, you never know. But so I'm starting that on September 3rd. It'll be an online challenge and a great Facebook group.

6:35

I mean, as little girls, you know, we're constantly looking at all the things now on social media. For me, back then it was just athletes and you know, the scale.

7:25

So I appreciate that. And then of course we have New York fit Festcoming up. That is September 21st in long beach, New York.

So get out there, move your body, put amazing nutrition inside of it, and always, always, ALWAYS, do that thing that makes your soul sing.

Hello. Oh hello. This is Kristy Data and welcome to the data fit show. How are you guys today is August the fifth. Oh my God. How fast has summer been flying? Right. So I'm so excited that you guys have been keeping up with me all through this summer and my show season and yet coming up August 28th is the last fitness competition of the summer and I've got some mixed feelings about it.

00:56

But at the end, the day I've just been thinking about this, it's more about me getting better than the last version of myself and I've been marbling a little bit like, gosh, do I really want to continue competing? Do I really want to continue to put my body through some of the things that it's gone through with different nutrition plan, with different workout routines?

01:55

I'm a little bit tired. It's consumed a lot of time and pulled me away from some of the other things that really make my heart happy, which I'll be talking a lot about in the upcoming podcasts that I have planned.

02:32

What have you learned from my journey? What have you taken in a way that you've applied to maybe your life, you know, I would love to hear from you. You can send me direct messages is on Facebook or Instagram.

3:26

You get to meet and incredible human beings that have other big goals and dreams. And this is just one of them that's on the list.

4:31

Don't need a trophy or a medal or a Pat on the back or something. As long as you know you're doing what you can to get to where you want to be with whatever that goal is.

05:31

If that feels good to you, do it. All right. Thank you again so much for always tuning in to the data fit show. So get out there, move your body, put amazing nutrition inside of it, and always, always, ALWAYS, do that thing that makes your soul sing.

Hello everybody. Welcome to the Data Fit Show. This is Kristi Data. I am your host. I am so, so excited to be here with you guys today. Today's episode is brought to you by Defiance Fuel as well as the Girl Gang Evolution and I can't wait to talk more about that in a few episodes down the road.

04:19

I am so good. So I am really, really excited because I wanted to give my listeners a perspective of what it's like to do a fitness competition and then step off stage actually. And then now you have been reignited to get back on stage.

05:15

And then when I went to college I just had to just take a break from athletics. And I went to Florida state university. I had some fun, I drank a little more. I ate a little more and I wasn't working out two hours a day, six days a week, 365 days a year.

06:00

The, I always wanted to look like the cheerleaders, but I had the athlete's body, you know, those soccer player legs. My sister was super tall and beautiful and so I just kind of always had a complex growing up. And so the additional 30 to 40 pounds that I had gained in college definitely did not do me any service in that department.

08:15

So they invited me to join them for a posing class. They were like, yeah, we're all getting ready for a show and we're going to have a posing class coming up this weekend. You should totally come check us out. So I did. And I was just blown away. I mean, these girls were prancing around in their bikini's with such confidence, you know, like I couldn't even fathom being in a group of people like that in a bikini, just with the insecurity that I had.

11:45

I mean, the thought of someone, I couldn't even wear a bikini around my own family, let alone get on stage in a panel in front of a panel of judges and just say, judge me, you know, pick me apart amongst like all of these beautiful women with these incredible bodies.

14:01

So I definitely experienced when I was competing regularly, I went through that struggle of what I call disordered eating. It's an eating habit that affects the rest of your life without it always being. So, um, what's the word I'm looking for? Maybe physically you can't really see how much damage it's doing, but it's affecting the rest of your life.

24:59

I feel like this is usually not the answer that people like to hear, but it's the truth to me. Um, number one, I just always ask why not the surface level? Why, but why? Like really why do you want to do this?

31:05

Oh, I love that. I just get the goosebumps every time. Like one of my friends is just ready to take that take something that is super inspiring, not only to them but it's gonna just impact a bunch of women. So I'm so excited for you.

So get out there, move your body, put amazing nutrition inside of it, and always, always, ALWAYS, do that thing that makes your soul sing.

" Happy, thankful Thursday. Facebook, how are all of you guys? Well it's been a hot second and I haven't been on here Solo live in probably a couple of weeks.  I wanted to jump on here. Today's episode is brought to you by Defiance Fuel as well as the Girl Gang Evolution."

00:58  "And then now it's like two or three months later and that feeling has kind of gone, you know what I'm talking about."

02:20 "But at the end of the day, you have to be able to want to do that for yourself. So I'm challenging everyone today."

03:08 "So at the end of the day you guys, when it gets tough and it's easy to just slap the snooze button, stick that piece of pizza in your face, have the extra cocktail, oh, I'll go to the gym tomorrow. Whatever that is for you..."

04:20 " How about put yourself in that place in five years and you've chosen to grow or you've chosen to say, you know what? I'm better than this. I can do better. I want to show up for my family."

05:19 " So my God, you guys let go of the motivation and anchor in why you want to make that change in your heart. And I'm always here to support, always here to help. "

So get out there, move your body, put amazing nutrition inside of it, and always, always, ALWAYS, do that thing that makes your soul sing.

00:00 "Welcome back to the Data Fit Show. This is Kristi Data. I am your host. I am so, so excited to be here with you guys today. Today's episode is brought to you by Defiance Fuel as well as the Girl Gang Evolution and I can't wait to talk more about that in a few episodes down the road. But today you guys, Yay. I get to introduce you to NPC Competitor, Brooke Masters."

01:16 "So I am a wife and mom of three boys. Um, I kind of started out my journey started a while ago where I kind of took my nutrition sorta seriously."

02:06 "Because once I felt like I could get past that fear, my confidence would overflow into other places in my life."

04:09 "My primary mission was making my best self and knowing that I can overcome something that I feared. "

04:49 " It's like, oh my gosh, I don't look a certain way or this girl looks like this and this girl looks like this."

06:17 "I had to put on a lot of weight that I wasn't used to. In order to build muscle."

08:14 " Bring it back girl. We're, we're okay. You're good. And that's what you just have to do."

09:45 "So whatever it takes, you just got to do it. And that was good for me."

12:17 "I think that you research the people that you do want to have coach you and know when you're talking to them."

13:09 "They were all like 6 billion feet tall."

14:50 "What I tell people is kind of like in sports that people know how to play the game, but if you are playing a sport, it's almost like you need a coach to teach you what your strengths are and how do you use those strengths to succeed. "

20:06 "This episode was brought to you by the girl gang evolution and defiance fuel. Hope you get out there today, you got sweaty, moved your body the best way. You know how if you have any questions about how to fuel your body, make sure you're putting good nutrition in there. My beautiful friend Brook over here, she may know a thing or two so she'd be able to help you. And so can I with that. So please feel free to reach out to us on either one of our socials and as always, always, always do that thing that makes your soul sing. "

So... It was Definitely not this girls day.

Next Show July 17th (Masters/Nationals)

Biggest thing I have learned is when you're in those self-doubt moments. (I actually caught myself asking out loud, "Am I good enough to do this?")

I immediately reminded myself that I am good enough, and doing all the right things and it'll just take more time to practice. I kinda equate this to the first time of doing something completely new, you're never the top notch the day you started.

A close friend asked me "am I clear about WHY i want to do fitness competitions, they require lots of time, money, dedication, etc.

strong, even though I have to lean out. Nutrition part, learning what works for my body, what doesn't. It'll be cool to share that info if I'm ever asked. I love to help others.

I also thought it out and meditated on why Kristi Data wants to do this. I am not defined by being a fitness competitor, network marketer, med device sales rep. It's a daily practice of building self confidence, self worth, responding vs reacting, when im hit with those moment's how fast can i come back to center of belief.

Belief that you can accomplish that vision you created. I am pumped with the shows, and networking, and gaining inspiration from other competitors. It's interesting in getting perspective of what it is that other ladies deal with.

Thank you all for following me on this journey. We have so much more planned for after this competition is over. Stay tuned as we break down physical, nutritional, and mentally fit.

This episode is brought to you by the new Girl Gang Evolution and Defiance Fuel. If you're looking for an incredible way to hydrate yourself at a cellular way.

Defiancefuel.com (if you order 3 cases or more,)

Let's see what July 17th brings. I've got a new nutrition coach to help. This next show I will be going solo, no coaches. Stay tuned for what that brings.

So get out there, move your body, put amazing nutrition inside of it, and always, always, ALWAYS, do that thing that makes your soul sing.

This was not my best show as far as placing. I did not place in the 35 and over, or the open category, and i took 3rd place in the 45 and over.

This isn't the first time I've been down that road. I've been down the road of "Oh my God, what am I doing up here? I'm too old for this.." Then it hit me

I knew this show was practice. This was about getting the cobwebs out and preparing me for the National level show. I refuse to let myself feel anything other than joy and fun. Yes I'm tired, and going through the nutrition and trying to lean out more, but at the end of the day, I'm thankful that my body can still do this, and I hvae the best coaches. I get some of the best encouragement from people and there are so many tremendous ladies in this sport.

Some of these girls have some serious challenges, some of them are moms, some have eating disorders, at the end of the day, it's not just about the workouts and pretty bikini, getting on stage and makeup etc, but it's TRULY about who you become in the process.

I'm always busting my butt to become a better coach, better at nutrition, I'm becoming a better leader overall. Not every day is over the top exciting,

but it's the sense of where you are going and what you are fighting to become.

  • I did forget a few things... I forgot a blanket, and a pillow to sit on. I also forgot my posing mirror, silly, but I did forget it.

Thank you all for following me on this journey. We have so much more planned for after this competition is over. Sneak peak, we will be doing a 2 day retreat for this one. That's going to be a lot of fun. Next stop for me though, is my first shot at my Pro Card this coming weekend. I will see you guys on the journey.

This episode is brought to you by the new Girl Gang Evolution. Remember, you can either fall backwards and think that numbers are nothing more than a guide and do not define you.

So get out there, move your body, put amazing nutrition inside of it, and always, always, ALWAYS, do that thing that makes your soul sing.

Only 3 more days until my first show EEEEK.

(*Notice...Stay tuned for the next Girl Gang Evolution... It will be in sunny Tampa FL. November 9th)

Today is my last day of workouts. These last few days have been busy with cardio, extra training with posing. Changing the way I'm turning, hand movements etc. If you check out my youtube channel Kristi Data you can see a lot of my posing practice.

Stay tuned on all of my social media stuff, I'll be giving you all of the behind the scenes info.

Ok, so I mentioned this in the past, but it's ok to be super girly with jewelry. I also brought some resistance bands... there isn't much working out you can do while you are there, but a resistance band will help for the last minute pump.

** I am also going to be bringing my food for before the show and during the show. I will be bringing cod, asparagus, sweet potatoes, Isadelights and e-shots. I am OVER the coffee thing. I've had too much iced coffee, that I'm kind of done. I'll be bringing my defiance water.

So day of the show, your hair and make up are done first thing, then there is pre-judging. Pre-judging is going to kick off around 11 am. There are multiple categories you can enter into. I entered into 3: open class, 35 and over, and 45 and over.

You only have to do posing for 1 of your categories, but you do have to physically go on stage for all 3.

Stay tuned, as we finish this one, there will be another national level competition 6 days later. (My first attempt at my pro card.)

Mental preparedness: I've been doing a lot as far as visualization. Some of my favorite podcasts on this topic are Michael Phelps and a few boxers. They are really good for helping you think about how you see yourself. I focus on the day of, posing, winning, smiling etc. See yourself in that state.

I do this for about 15 minutes a day. It really helps you see what you're about to go through.

Few more things... I am such a planner, that I give myself a list of everything I need to pack so that I don't forget anything.

Relaxation... I bring a book to read, I will be working on my nutrition business. I'll be making phone calls to get things straightened out for Girl Gang Evolution. Basically, I'll be doing the things that bring me joy and energy.

**Stay tuned... I will be doing another video the evening after the show to explain how everything goes throughout the day.

Thank you all for following me on this journey. We have so much more planned for after this competition is over. Stay tuned as we break down exactly what physical, nutritional, and mentally fit all means and how you can excel in all areas.

This episode is brought to you by the new Girl Gang Evolution. Remember, you can either fall backwards and think that numbers are nothing more than a guide and do not define you.

Update on the journey to getting my NPC Card. We are now 20 days away from stage.

This episode has been brought to you by the new Girl Gang Evolution and NOW Defiance Fuel.

We have broke away from plateau. We have made some changes in nutrition plan, down to small amount of carbs/day and LOTS of water.

Dropped down to only 3 of my Isagenix products. Only ones left are vitamins, pro-biotics and digestive enzymes, greens, plant-based energy shots and Isagenix coffee.

So today we're going to talk about what you need the night before your show and day of show:

  • You'll need your suit. (BTW, had a little snafu this Saturday) I had my first official posing practice in the suit and it BROKE! (My recommendation, if you have the availability or have a friend with an extra, always go to your show with the suit you're going to wear AND a backup suit.)

  • I also have 2 pair of shoes in case something goes wrong, heel, strap etc. Always have a plan B.

  • Day before, you're going to need your tan, makeup, and hair appointments, (make sure to schedule those like 60 days out.)

  • Black or dark colored silk robe (keeps you warm and not impact your tan.)

  • The night before you'll be checking in, bottoms are also checked then for regulation, then, you're measured height/weight, then you'll get your first 2 coats of tan(yes two, there will be a third as well)

  • Loose baggy clothing, stay away from water

  • I recommend your own dark sheets that you don't care about (hotel might get crazy about your tan messing up their sheets)

  • Day of show, you'll get another coat of tan

  • Then hair and makeup done

  • Then you'll go to pre-judging around 8am or even earlier

  • Classes break down for posing routines

*Reminder: I bring an my cooler bag (I use the 6-pack cooler). I do rice cakes, nut butter, jelly, honey, plant based energy shots, Isadelights, I might also bring a few meals of veggies, white fish, maybe a sweet potatoe... sipping on black coffee is good, but not guzzling water.

  • Prepare for a LONG day, so bring everything with you. I pay extra to have my coach back there with me..

  • I bring resistance bands for warming up and prepping before you go on stage.

  • Jewelry, keep it handy and bring extras... TJ MAXX, or Claire's, find stuff that makes you feel pretty in, I wear two bangels on my wrists and really big huge earrings

  • Nails need to be done, french manicure, or gems... nails are actually pretty important

  • Flip flops as well, so I'm not constantly walking in heels the whole time. That's a 12 hour day in those heels if not.

  • If you're with a team, you'll have a list of things to bring.

  • Always at the end of your show, interact with the judges to get feedback. They appreciate that, and they'll remember your name for asking, but best of all, they'll give you something to focus on next time. For instance, last year i did this, they said to focus on my hamstrings, hips, and presentation, so that was what I've been focused on

Important dates coming up:

  • June 29th | Wayne NJ NPC Garden State Championships

  • July 5th | Team Universe, (National Show- First opportunity for my Pro Card)

My body was plateauing, so we decided as we've made some changes, that we would give ourselves one more week. I've got some business travel coming up, so we're going to make it June 29th.

I'm getting myself ready for the final week. Cardio, how i lift, and adding HIIT classes every now and then. I'm learning to let go of the 'forced focus'.

I am a stress-achiever, and I'm learning to be more content in the moment.

For awhile, the perception I had of postponing my show was that I was failing. Then I caught myself part way through that mentality and i realized I'm giving myself an extra week to recover from a 9-day travel trip, and get my body where it needs to be. It was just a perception shift from I am failing to, I am preparing.

Fear-setting vs goal-setting. What are you setting in your head? Are you focused on the right or the wrong outcome?

Next time you're hitting a wall and having thoughts of doubt, bring someone in that can help you change your path in how you get to your goal.

This whole thing has been a roller coaster of ups and downs, but I'm learning to find a little more grace in the process. It's mentally freeing and I hope this really helps someone.

Whatever you focus on most, is what you get. The last few weeks I've been spending a lot of time thinking of the one thing I didn't want.

Guess what I got? More of what I didn't want.

Next time you start to feel yourself having those thoughts. STOP! Right where you are, and start to think about what things you DO want to have.

Start to speak life towards the direction that you DO want to move in.

Those numbers are dropping by the day, my posing is getting better, the weights are getting heavier and I am getting stronger. Think about whatever those major things you want to have happen. Write down a few empowering statements involving "I am"... then put them everywhere.

You have to have a sense of belief, both in yourself and a belief in whatever it is you put your energy towards.

This episode is brought to you by the new Girl Gang Evolution. Remember, pick one new thought a day or week and focus on that until you master it.

Get out there, move your body, put amazing nutrition inside of it, and always, always, ALWAYS, do that thing that makes your soul sing.

The mental game is where it's at. Ok, so my current mindset is defeat. I am struggling with things that are not changing.

The BodPod and things like that are just a tool. They do not define you. We are shifting things within my nutrition plan to try to get my body fat to drop. Its stressful to not see it change. I have no problem going the extra mile to push my body to get those extra sets in there or add more way etc.

In my heart the reason I chose to do another physique season is to increase my mental fitness game. It's not only whats going on with prepping for shows but also what's going on in my life. I want to help people who are striving for a personal goal, regardless of the goal to realize that it's what you've consistently created mentally that helps you push past those self limiting beliefs, doubts.

One of my favorite podcasts from 'Impact Theory' on YouTube. He puts so many insightful people on there. I have learned that we have conditioned the body to revert back to being comfortable when we are faced with adversity. Our bodies naturally want to go back to what is comfortable instead of pushing through it.

This is exactly what I have been going through this week. FULL DISCLOSURE I really thought I was going to quit this week and just say screw it. It's not working, It's only been a month. Then it hit me... 'Why am I thinking like this? This is NOT me.' I just wanted to be raw and real with you. I go through this as well. I will NEVER give up on myself though, it's not in my DNA. I am going to use this prep season to win my Pro Card but also to take my mental fitness game to the next level. It's something I really want to improve on.

There is so much more than just the physical aspect and Pro Card. If i can train my brain to overcome these obstacles, the doubt, and disbelief, and the other crap, I can get through anything. I want to get that mentality down to 90 seconds. I want to feel the feelings, give myself the pity party, then... LET'S GO!!

So that's what I've been going through. But now my new focus is creating new, stronger, mental fitness habits. I know I can create those in any area of my life. I want to help people who are struggling with this same thing. Don't worry about fixing it all at once, but fixing one thing at a time.

Dedicated focus, even if you have to repeat the same habit that you want to change over and over again. Then, when those obstacles show up, you can dig into the past and realize how you responded it the past, but now realize that you can move over it faster.

So whether it's journaling or just calling it out when it happens. I know you have it in you, because I know I have it in me. I know that we are all here to help support each other and I know that I can help you through it all.

Thank you guys for tuning in and checking this out, I hope that truly helps someone out.

Get out there, move your body, put amazing nutrition inside of it, and always, always, ALWAYS, do that thing that makes your soul sing.

Bod pod test. It uses oxygen displacement to measure your lean muscle mass, body fat, and weight.

First off, good news, I am down 3.5lbs to bring me under 150. EEEEK!!

My body fat % hasn't really changed yet. Somewhat frustrating since I was hoping that my body fat % would have changed a little in a few weeks time, but I chose to focus on the other indicator, it's some improvement.

Too often we get stuck in our head and want to see the needle moving. We can stress out over this stuff and that can also have it's own effect. This is where having a solid coach really comes in clutch.

This was a good reflection though. I know with stress comes higher cortizone levels and because of the tempo of my job and travel lately, i've been getting less sleep, so that will be my focus going into this week. I'm going to try to change my cardio up a bit, as well as changing my nutrition. We will be changing my source of protein from egg whites and fish, I will be adding in some poultry. (Not the biggest fan, but we'll see how it does.)

  • QUESTION... Looking for grill ready turkey breast (not the store prepped Thanksgiving day ready kind, but more of what you'd open and throw on the grill. Anyone know of a good place within NYC?)

Posing is going well. Defintely been practicing. Watched the Beyonce documentary 'The Home Coming'. Learning how to add a little "SASS" to my walk.

Since I feel like I have 2 left feet (can anyone relate?) It's not always the easiest, but it's good to practice a lot and practice without a mirror as well since you won't have one on show day.

I put on my bikini and i feel comfortable in it. I know i'll get more comfortable as we get closer to show time. I love the color, love the top, the bottoms... well.. i feel like regardless of how many times I wear one, it feels like your butt eats it up lol

*Funfact, with all of these moving pieces coming into place and time crunching down, this is when I start to stress out. The problem with stress is it makes your body puff out. I need to find some time for me to just focus on being ok with the results and letting this pressure go. Find some fun "me time" for yourself, whether its taking walks, reading, or for me, taking my dog to the dog park, or journaling or even doing this podcast are all stress relievers for me.

Journaling is an awesome way to get your thoughts down on paper. You can put everything out there and give yourself daily reminders.

Next episode will be on posing. I'll have my coach with me and you'll get to see how we practice. Since this is on a podcast, I'll link the link to YouTube.

Remember, as always,

Get out there, move your body, put amazing nutrition inside of it, and always, always, ALWAYS, do that thing that makes your soul sing.

9 Weeks out.

I want to talk about what it's like to pick your coaches. I have a nutrition coach named Judy Bines(@judyabines), she was a personal friend who had been through a competition in the past. I knew that had had previous knowledge of everything involved. I reached out to her and told her I was in a place where I was looking to do a show and I asked her if she would be willing to do my nutrition plan for me. Since we both partner with Isogenix, I found working with her was an easy flow for what would work and what would not.

As far as picking, find a coach that is open to conversation, learning what works well with your stomach, what doesn't make you feel bloated. I would be aware of anything that involves a lot of manipulations from the very beginning.

I once had an eating disorder a long time ago and my coach is aware of that and what my triggers are. Having an open, and honest conversation with who you pick to coach you as well as how they respond to those things is super important. If there is ever a time where you are uncomfortable with sharing about your food and how it's reacting, than maybe that coach isn't a good fit for you.

My strength coaches are my personal trainers. They were both friends to begin with. It's important to have your nutrition and strength coach on the same page so when you are trying to figure out what weights, what reps etc it's working with what your diet currently requires. My posing coach is Lauren Sutherland, she was also my first strength training coach.

*FYI TIP. When you are looking for someone to work with. If you reach out to them multiple times and they do not respond, that's kind of an indicator for how things might go in the future as well. Find someone that's responsive.

My new posing coach this year because I moved, is Meredith Mack (@meredith_mack) and she is wonderful. We are working on poses again with the new shoes.

My big takeaway from all of this is finding someone who has your health at heart, both physical and mental, that makes all the difference. There needs to be open communication.

There are lots of online coaches, but if you're seeking help, ask for some referrals. Ask them if their clients would be open to a conversation. Ask that person how it went,

what did they like? What did they not like? Make sure you feel comfortable with the person you are working with. Do your homework before you invest the time, money, and effort now. So you don't have to deal with it later

3 big things to focus on.

  • Communication is key

  • Open and honest

  • They have your health first.

Get out there, move your body, put amazing nutrition inside of it, and always, always, ALWAYS, do that thing that makes your soul sing.

Research the city you're going to, see if there is a meal prep service company there.

I know that was a lot of bullet points, but these are issues I've run into in the past and workarounds I found to help me reach my goals and stay on track. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I recommend trying on a few different shoes. You need to find something that is comfortable. Something I picked up from last year I am now using a 'curved up' toe because I saw a lot of people wearing them last year.

I bought a full size mirror so that I could practice. Last year, as weird as this sounds, I would wear the shoes around the house while meal prepping, etc. so that I could get used to wearing them. That made uncomfortable shoes feel that much better and not so foreign when the big day came.

Ok, so this year I bought 2 bathing suits for show. I've learned as time went on that there are different 'cuts'.

(I told you we were talking about this. lol) There is an amateur cut, a national pro cut, pro cut (micro cut).

Bikini bite... yep, we actually glue this bikini to our bodies. With as much moving as we're doing the entire day, this helps keep everything in place.

*Tip: find someone you Know, Like n Trust who's been through competitions before and can offer good advice.

Next up: Picking your coaches and what the major benefits are.

Get out there, move your body, put amazing nutrition inside of it, and always, always, ALWAYS, do that thing that makes your soul sing.

The 'Mental Game' will stop you before fitness or nutrition ever will. Sharing the struggle of how i psych myself out at times, but how I've got unbelivable coaches that put me back into perspective. While I may be a ways out from where I need to be for this competition, we're also 11 weeks out. You ever hear the phrase "don't compare someone's best to your worst", well that can also go for yourself. "Don't compare your own personal best to where you are currently." If you got there once, you can do it again. I just wanted to share these words of encouragement with you all.

So get out there. move your body, put amazing nutrition inside of it, and always, always, ALWAYS, do that thing that makes your soul sing.

So today I had a mini-meltdown.  Today we talk about how my results freaked me out at first. I let those numbers get to me because I was comparing my current to my best. I have the right coaches to help me get where I need to be. I workout, I box, I cycle, I'm kicking butt at 46.

So get out there. move your body, put amazing nutrition inside of it, and always, always, ALWAYS, do that thing that makes your soul sing.

Hey guys,

We're starting this new Bikini Competition journey together. This is my first ever podcast and it's also the second time I will be competing in an NPC Bikini Competition. Here's what's cool though, I've already been through it and I know what to expect. Now I get to bring you all along for the journey. If you have any questions, please ask away.

I see there are places where followers can chime in and add their own audio. I haven't done that yet, but I would love to down the road when I figure it all out.

So let's have fun and prep for the next 12 weeks.
