2 weeks ago, I met with the admin for a local Boys & Girls Club. We talked about who I am, how I can help, and how they operate. I was given two tours.

Before leaving, I was asked to bring in subject matter to speak with the teens about. What are you suggestions based on this list?

Study skills

• how to master anything
• learn more in less time
• scheduling gives you more free time

Communication

• creating your circle of influence
• how to express feelings & journaling
• talking vs texting and peer facilitation

Financial management

• what to do with a dollar
• how to make money
• how to invest and save money

Confidence building

• dealing with bullies and teasing
• how to talk to yourself & the Facebook effect
• mindfulness and stress

These do not guarantee a straight and narrow path but it show what it looks like because "early learning paves the way for future success."

Talk to your teenagers (or kids) today about what they want to learn but isn't taught in school.
