You will need to tune your guitar a semitone down to play along with the recording of this song. Tune your guitar as follows from 6th string to 1st string :
E♭ – A♭ – D♭ – G♭ – B♭ – E♭
Song StructureThe structure of the song is as follows:
Guitar PartThe main riff of the song (see fig. 1) is played in the intro, verses and outdo. Although it is played on the bass guitar, it is arranged here for the 6 string guitar. A slide is played at the end of the riff by the bass guitar. This has not been included in the adapted guitar riff. A second riff (see fig. 2) is played at the end of the first verse. It is only two bars long.
The chorus features an acoustic guitar part (see fig. 3) which is played using bar chords E minor, D, A minor and B minor. For beginners, you may want to substitute the bar chord versions of E minor, D and A minor for their open chords version. This is because the D bar chord shape can be tricky.
