We began the show discussing last night’s events at the DNC Convention in Philadelphia including speeches by Michelle Obama and Elijah Cummings and Stephanie Rawlings-Blake graveling in the ceremony. Next, Derek previewed the speeches tonight, this night’s speakers being the mothers of African-Americans killed by Police Officers and the keynote by former President Bill Clinton. In the bottom of the hour, the show was joined by former Cinniniciti mayor and Television host Jerry Springer. Springer gave his thoughts on Hillary Clinton and the DNC in general. In the second hour, we reviewed Cory Booker’s speech from the first night of the DNC Convention and why his words rang hollow to many conservatives. To wrap up the show, Derek was joined by both the Rev. Jesse Jackson and former Lt. Governor Michael Steele on the convention and the election in November as well as Kerry Pickett of the Daily Caller.
