We here at Rediscovering the Magic try not to get political here on our show. Given the current climate in our country, we have decided that we cannot in good conscience stand by idly and say nothing.

1.) Racism, Bigotry, Sexism, Transphobia, and Homophobia has no place as an American value. However, as each day passes, the powers that be are doing what they can to do so. This is VERY un-American and extremely ugly. We are an all inclusive podcast, we have been since day 1 and we will always be one.

2.) For over two hundred years, the African American community has faced oppression and racism, from slavery to segregation. They have every right to riot and protest the way they are right now. Especially here in America. Enough is enough.

3.) Instigation or inciting of racist, bigoted, or homophobic behavior has no place anywhere, least of all on the police force. Those that have the propensity to those behaviors need to be removed from their jobs, and replaced with those who are committed to keeping the peace with compassion.

4.) If this country is to survive, it is time to put people in power who share ideals for the betterment of this country and the community as a whole. Those who share the ideals both in the Constitution of the United States and the Declaration of Independence, not those who have an agenda to unmake everything that came before just because it does not match their agenda of hate.

5.) Protesters, we see you. We hear you. Continue to fight. Continue to protest. Continue to fight for the change that we so desperately need in this country.

6.) Finally, please vote in November. Vote for change. We are the voice of the United States of America, and if we unite to combat this, we can make the change for the better, and a brighter future for all.
