When we look back into the family history of Jesus, there are some unsavory characters there. If these people were in our family, we wouldn't want to invite them over for Christmas dinner and others we would prefer to not be associate with. And yet, Matthew goes out of his way to highlight them. And it seems God specifically chooses these people to be in the bloodline of Jesus? Why? We think it's because people that have some baggage are the point of Christmas.
