John Wells, a revered figure in the Bristol rave scene, has long been hailed as a local hero, delivering electrifying sets blending Jungle, Acid, and Hardcore with an unparalleled energy. However, in his latest musical venture, he offers a fresh perspective on his journey. MOZYK022OddlyMerged is a final composition of seven tracks which have been developed specifically with the intention of being combined for this release. Each piece has its own experience in the way rhythms and percussions interact with one another.The tracks are a combination of modifications and fusion of various melodic and drum ideas. Each piece, from deep basslines to experimental synths, is a study of sound and texture. The elaborately designed melodies, which are interlaced with the percussion components, add to the music's intricacy.From start to finish, the listener is taken on a musical journey, with each track building on the one before it to create a seamless soundscape. The concept of contrast serves as the foundation for the final three tunes. They experiment with the notion of combining two unique sounds to make something new.The album is an investigation of the limits of music production. Steve Canfield is a musician, composer, and sound designer originally from San Diego, California. Since a young age, his biggest inspiration as an artist has always been the music and sound of film. Steve's first full-length album, “Floating Stones”, took about 2.5 years to complete while living and traveling around various cities across Europe and North America.
