Following the huge success of last year’s campaign we are delighted to once again be running the ‘Christmas 2022 Toy Drive’ in conjunction with the Watford Community, Sports and Education Trust.

We were completely overwhelmed by the generosity of our supporters last time out, as we were in 2020. Thank you to everyone who donated. We were able to reach a huge number of children whose families were experiencing economic hardship and allow them to receive a present on Christmas Day.

This year, we are asking once again for donations of new or unused gifts only, and please could we ask that they are left unwrapped (this will be done by the club when gifts have been allocated to children). The drop off points for donations will be at the main Watford FC reception on Stadium Way, and at the two Watford FC stores at Vicarage Road Stadium and Atria Watford.

Please could we ask that all donations are received by Monday December 12.

We also invite you to contact us with details of those who you know who would welcome a Christmas gift for their young ones this year. Please email toydrive@watfordfc.com with the name of the parent or guardian of the household you’d like to receive a gift, the name(s) of the children and their postal address and contact number. The deadline for us to receive gift requests is Monday December 5.

Please see below a list of suggestions for suitable gifts for children of different ages:

  • 0-4 years: teddy bears, soft toys, baby clothes, stacking blocks, cot mobiles, bath toys, action figures, dolls.
  • 4-8 years: action figures, puzzles, dressing-up costumes, age-suitable DVDs, colouring sets, arts and crafts, story books, Lego.
  • 8-12 years: school sets, stationery, board games, gloves, puzzles, t-shirts, scarves, sports equipment.
  • 12-16 years: headphones, reference books, hair accessories, bedroom accessories, fashion accessories, portable speakers, nightwear, novels.

Thank you in advance. We’ve no doubt that our supporters will once again show the family club spirit instilled in us over the years, and you’ll do what you can to provide those facing particular difficulties this year with a Happy Christmas.
