Watford FC Women can confirm the departure of defender Ylenia Priest following the mutual termination of her contract.

Priest joined Watford in June 2021 and made 10 appearances for the Golden Girls in the 2021/22 campaign, with her season cut short due to a knee injury suffered in December.

Scoring a memorable goal in the Hornets’ 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at Vicarage Road in October 2021, Priest put in a series of committed displays in the Championship and departs with the club’s best wishes.

“Lenny is a true professional and a great person,” said General Manager Laura Dyer. “She has been a pleasure to coach and we would like to wish her all the very best in her next journey.”

Head Coach Damon Lathrope added: “I’d like to wish Lenny all the best moving forward. She is a true professional and has shown a great attitude and mentality to overcome her injury.”
