Coventry come into the clash in ninth - three places ahead of the Hornets in the Sky Bet Championship table - still harbouring ambitions of bridging the three-point gap that separates them and sixth-placed Blackburn, and securing a play-off spot.

The Sky Blues put together a nine-game unbeaten run before they were beaten heavily by Stoke at the start of April, while they earned a decent 0-0 draw away at Swansea last time out on Good Friday (April 7).

Sweden international forward Viktor Gyökeres is among their key players, with the 24-year-old having so-far notched 18 goals in the league this season.

• Watford haven’t scored in any of their last three league visits to Coventry (D2 L1), since a 4-0 win in May 2010.

• Coventry have won only one of their last 17 league games played on Easter Monday (D5 L11) - a 3-1 home win over Bristol City in April 2021.

Goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann will be suspended for the Hornets, following his late red card against Huddersfield last time out (Friday April 7).
