Watford’s Hassane Kamara made it 50 appearances in yellow during the Sky Bet Championship fixture against Hull City (Saturday April 22).

The 29-year-old, who moved to Vicarage Road back in January 2022 from Ligue 1 outfit Nice, has been a regular contributor to the Hornets over his nearly one-and-a-half-year spell.

Alongside his half-century for the Golden Boys, the Ivorian has notched a goal and two assists, as well as two caps for his national side against England and Lesotho.

Kamara began his journey at Watford by making his debut in a 1-1 draw with Newcastle United at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.

For the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign, the left-back was an ever-present when available for selection, notably scoring against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in April 2022.

Despite having only been at the club for fewer than six months, Kamara was awarded the Graham Taylor Player of the Season trophy at the final home match of the campaign in recognition of his committed performances.

Heading into the current season in the second-tier, Kamara was deployed in different positions to begin with, including at right-wing-back, however he earned an attacking contribution from his more familiar left-back role against Stoke City in a 4-0 victory, assisting Ismaïla Sarr’s opener.

With 10 clean sheets to his name so far in the Championship this term, he has also proved to be a regular part of the Hornets’ defensive structure.

Kamara will be hoping to enjoy a positive end to the current season as he prepares to face Sunderland (Saturday April 29) and Stoke City (Monday May 8).
