Watford FC's Supporter Services team is pleased to be introducing, for the benefit of fans, an easier online user experience across the club's web-based channels: specifically relating to ticketing, the Hornets Shop and the official Watford app - which will be used to access a new Rewards scheme (more on this soon).
This article explains below what actions are required of supporters to activate a new online account. It would be a great time to combine this with also ensuring you've downloaded the very latest version of the club's official app.
The change sees the introduction of a new Watford FC digital account that will act as the management system for each of the listed online channels, meaning that - as part of the new offering - the same account details will be used to access tickets.watfordfc.com, shop.watfordfc.com and the official app.
By introducing this new online infrastructure, we are building the necessary foundations that will allow us to implement a new and bespoke club-wide supporter reward scheme that will be initially launched to Hornets' season ticket holders in its first phase. A pilot of the scheme will soon be live among our 5,000+-strong Junior Hornets membership.
However, there are some immediate benefits for fans to make use of.
Greater Convenience The new account will make for a smoother user experience and make purchasing tickets and club merchandise, in addition to managing your orders and account details, easier than ever before by using the same login details across the different platforms. Once logged in, users will be able to seamlessly navigate between both shop and ticketing sites.
Any changes to your personal details held within the account will also be reflected across the board, thus removing the need to update your personal details multiple times in instances such as a change of address.
More Control & Personalisation The newly-updated preference centre provides supporters with greater visibility and control to tailor their online experience. Supporters will have instant access to edit their communication preferences at any time to ensure they never miss out on the messages and club content that is most important to them.
The account also allows supporters to confirm a preferred method of communication and manage their opt-in/out status for club emails.
Action Required Firstly, before you can log into your various Watford FC platforms, all supporters are required to now create their own individual online account, with a junior account available to anyone aged 15 or under.
Click HERE and follow the sign-up process to create an official Watford FC digital account, being sure to input correct and up-to-date information. If a message appears stating the email address already exists, select the 'sign into existing account' option and follow the 'forgot password' flow. A step-by-step guide can be found HERE.
All junior accounts require an email address provided by a parent / guardian which, in turn, must be verified.
Junior accounts operate in the same way as an adult account, with some exceptions. As part of the registration process, a username will need to be created for the account. The username acts in place of the email address that would be used to log into an adult account.
Multiple junior accounts can be listed under the same parent / guardian email address, however the username must be different for each individual account.
Link Your Ticketing Account Once your account has been created, you must then link to your existing ticketing account. This step will ensure supporters can make any future ticket purchases and access any existing tickets held.
Once logged into the ticketing account for the first time using the newly-created login details, all supporters will be prompted to link their account by entering their Fan ID number: be sure to enter the correct Fan ID that is assigned to you.
Supporters without an existing Fan ID can create a new one by selecting the ‘create new’ option, however it is not advised to create a new Fan ID if you have an existing one or have used one in the past.
For any problems relating to linking accounts, please contact supporters@watfordfc.com, stating the Fan ID number being used.
More information on the new Watford FC digital account can be found HERE.
Our Supporter Services team is on hand to address any enquiries you may have in relation to setting up your new online account.
Simply email supporters@watfordfc.com, call on 01923 223023 or visit in-person at the Ticketing and Supporter Services Office at Vicarage Road Stadium. Opening hours for in-person visits are 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
Club Website & Streaming Due to upcoming changes relating to the EFL's deal with Sky Sports and what this means for club streaming, video and audio streaming will remain separate from this club integration.
A brand-new official club website will be launching next week at watfordfc.com, while the club streaming service will change from the Hive Live brand to iFollow and therefore supporters who have used Hive Live previously will need to create a new iFollow login that will be separate from those used for ticketing, the club shop and app, although using the same email address is possible and indeed advised.
