Watford Sporting Director Gian Luca Nani will immediately assume the role of Group Technical Director across both the Hornets and Italian Serie A side Udinese Calcio.

This broadening of Nani's role comes after he rejoined Watford during last season.

Udinese will at the same time confirm a further addition to their technical staff.

Nani first arrived at Vicarage Road in summer 2012 for a two-year spell as Technical Director, when the Pozzo family bought Watford Football Club.

His new wider remit will commence immediately.
