All eyes are on Selhurst Park this weekend as Watford travel to Crystal Palace in the Premier League (May 7, 3pm KO).

In the reverse fixture, the Eagles beat the Hornets 4-1 at Vicarage Road as Roy Hodgson faced his former side for the first time since departing.

Impressive Form

The Eagles have enjoyed a decent run of form in the top-flight since their victory at The Vic in February. In the eight matches since, Palace have only lost two games, against Leicester City and Newcastle. Highlights of their current run include a point against high-flyers Manchester City, and a 3-0 win against London rivals Arsenal.

More recently, Patrick Vieira’s side are unbeaten in their last two matches in the Premier League, after a goalless draw with Leeds United and a 2-1 victory over Southampton, with Wilfried Zaha notching a late winner to secure the three points.

Crystal Palace are currently ranked 12th in the league and are pushing to enter the top-half of the table. They are currently only two points off Newcastle in 10th with a game in hand.

FA Cup Success

Alongside a productive league campaign, the Eagles have enjoyed an impressive run in the Emirates FA Cup. After beating Stoke City 2-1 in the fifth round of the competition, Vieira’s Palace took on Everton in the quarter-finals.

It would be a notable show of force as Palace beat the Toffees by four goals without reply at Selhurst Park. Goals from Marc Guéhi, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Zaha and former Hornet Will Hughes secured their place at Wembley Stadium and in the final four.

The semi-finals would prove to be one step too far, as Chelsea comfortably beat Crystal Palace 2-0 despite a valiant effort from the Eagles.
