During the clinical course of heart failure, even with guideline directed medical therapy, many patients still experience symptoms that negatively impact their quality of life. Baroreflex activation therapy, or BAT, is an FDA approved therapy for patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction that has been shown to improve patient’s functional status, exercise capacity, and quality of life.
