Suppression of the truth is sadly nothing new. For all of human existence, history belongs to the victor. Meaning whomever is winning the battle or has won the war claims the right to tell the story as they see it. Truth becomes the opinion of the victor. In many instances the truth as we know it is the result of a carefully crafted and subversively delivered narrative. The absence of certain evidence, the manipulation of certain facts, the silence of certain ideas replaces actual history with something else.
