In this edition of Gateway to Africa we take you on trips to the Marakele National Park where the 11th annual Marakele Marathon happened early March and we talk to key people about the event to find out how it has grown over the years. They include SANPARK’s northern region communication manager Sipho Mkhwanazi, Marakele field guide Tinyiko Maluleke and the CEO of Limpopo Tourism Agency, Sonto Ndlovu. This year’s Marakele Marathon was about celebrating the Lion as one of the Big Five.
