We will try to understand how to start thinking about product analytics, what are the common pitfalls and how to shape the product analytics vision as your company enters the next stages of development.   Guest: James Arch, Senior Product Data Analyst @ N26 & Ilya Blokh, Director of Product @ Blinkist Moderation: Ole Bossdorf,  Head of Business Intelligence @ Project A Language: English Subscribe to our Podcast on (link: https://podcasts.apple.com/de/podcast/project-a-podcast/id1291405799?mt=2&app=itunes text: iTunes) and (link: https://open.spotify.com/show/46IdqkKgDp4yZGomKqqWzq?si=kf41rGkLS9agD3FKmvjbcg text: Spotify)  RSS Feed: http://project-a.libsyn.com/rss Write us: (email: podcast@project-a.com) If you want to know more about Project A check out: Blog: https://insights.project-a.com Podcast: https://www.project-a.com/en/media/podcast Newsletter: https://www.project-a.com/en/media/newsletter

Klara is a digital product, which means that it needs a lot of iterations of testing and improving before it can go to production. Even though we have a place in our stack for unit tests, our functional / integration test suite is growing much faster. During the development of our product, we found out that it’s more important to test our product via user flows. Cypress.io is a tool that allows us to do so. Our first cypress related commit happened in September 2017. What we did since then will be one of the main topics I will talk about in my presentation. Many engineers have to deal with distributed systems to scale platforms. It’s often difficult to understand the overall system setup. Sometimes, it feels like you’re losing control over the communication patterns of your system components. We can address this problem by applying Domain Driven Design, automation, and decoupling principles.  It’s possible to design software that consists of loosely coupled parts that interact through simpler, “event-based” data streams. This way,  we won’t reduce the complexity, but we can transfer some of it to the network layer. We recently held the 3rd edition of the Business And Data Meetup and this time it was all about e-Scooters. People had mixed feelings about the arrival of the micro-mobility companies to Berlin this summer. While some value a fast & fun way to travel around the city, others were more concerned about their own safety and sustainability issues. Without a doubt, the usage of data generated by the scooters improves both operations and product and will help to win this highly competitive race.   With our panel guests Sadie Martin, Product Manager at Tier; Christoph Bernkopf, Data Scientist at Circ; and Claus Unterkicher, General Manager DACH at Voi,  we talk about the e-Scooter launch in Berlin, important KPIs and how to build up successful data teams. Apple Podcast is no longer the big kid on the block. At the beginning of 2019 Spotify invested $400 million in podcast technology, clearly hinting that it’s a central part of their business model. At Project A, we’ve been betting on podcasting since November 2017, so almost two years later we felt, it was a good time to look back and check on our progress.

Danijel Visevic, Director of Communications at Project A, sits down with Joel Dombrower, Jr. Communications Manager at Project A to discuss the 5 things to keep in mind when starting a podcast, whether it makes sense for a company to start its own podcast, and if it's suitable for generating leads.

610 million professionals, 30 million company pages and more than 50% feed engagement. Is the social network for professionals ready to challenge the Blue Giant in the advertising field? Linkedin Ads is a powerful platform, full of opportunities but also challenges and obstacles - like pricing, targeting options and creatives. Finding the right account and campaign setup is the key to success.  The roadmap of the advertisement platform development looks very similar to Facebooks’ of a few years ago. How to even assess this properly, given that attribution is even more complicated than in B2C marketing as touchpoints with multiple employees of a target company are very likely?  And finally: What is a viable marketing tech stack to start out with, how does it evolve over time and what profiles does a high-performing B2B marketing team comprise of? Unternehmen in Deutschland investieren jährlich etwa 80-90 Milliarden Euro in Kommunikationsmaßnahmen. Gäste: Bob Hardt, Senior Communications Manager Host:  Danijel Visevic, Director of Communications Sprache: Deutsch RSS Feed:  http://project-a.libsyn.com/rss   Wenn Du mehr über Project A wissen willst: Blog: https://insights.project-a.com Podcast: https://www.project-a.com/de/media/podcast Newsletter: https://www.project-a.com/de/media/newsletter

Sales in the b2b sector have undergone significant changes in the last three to five years. On the one hand, new channels such as Linkedin have proven to be valuable for digital lead generation. On the other, the availability of information online has significantly affected the buying behavior of customers - people don't want to be approached proactively. This means that a switch in the acquisition process between the digital self-service channels and one-to-one personal conversation with your customer is not only challenging but also necessary. Listen to Christoph Rösler, Director of Venture Development & Sales at Project A, and Florian Heinemann, General Partner at Project A, dive deep into the merging of marketing and sales in the customer journey and whether traditional sales still have a role in the modern b2b sector. Creating a sales compensation scheme in a startup can feel like juggling with explosives while blindfolded.

Andreas Kuehnke, Legal Counsel bei Project A, gibt Rat.

Moderation: Danijel Visevic Gast: Anton Waitz, Partner Project A Sprache: Deutsch RSS Feed: http://project-a.libsyn.com/rss   Wenn Du mehr über Project A wissen willst: Blog: https://insights.project-a.com Podcast: https://www.project-a.com/de/media/podcast Newsletter: https://www.project-a.com/de/media/newsletter

Data collection and analysis have transformed the way marketing departments work. Today, it’s essential that marketers have a data-driven mindset and an ability to interpret and translate data into actionable insights. This helps them spend their budgets more efficiently as in the past. However, we’ve still got a long way to go. Customer journeys in the digital age are complicated, and many companies still rely on last-click attribution. In this episode, the third in our BI series, our CMO Dorothee Seedorf discusses with Philipp Werner, Director of BI, how the two departments work together at Project A to overcome these challenges.

Better decisions are made based on data and they help to be one step ahead. This is what we here at Project A are deeply convinced of. But it’s not easy to work with those data in a way that it can be analyzed and made actionable, it requires creativity and intelligence. Philipp Werner is our Director of BI since November. In this episode, he explains how we take ventures such as Catawiki, or kfzteile24 to the next level by using business intelligence, why machine learning is gaining relevance, and what it means to be the fan of a football club that loses almost every game. The moderator Rainer Berak is also a fan of 1. FC Köln.

Today data is the gold of the digital age, and if companies can't collect data on their business and analyze it correctly, they can close down right away. Seriously. That’s why one of the most important departments at Project A is Business Intelligence. Our BI experts support our ventures in using their data successfully to grow. Rainer Berak, COO at Project A, talks to Leo Schirmer in the first of four BI-themed episodes about the development of Business Intelligence in the last five years. Leo was Director of Business Intelligence at Project A for a long time. He says that nowadays it is much easier to collect and use data thanks to the many new tools.
