Since the first Modern Olympics Games in 1896, many participating countries have changed names or flags, or ceased to exist altogether. But no Olympic story is more convoluted than that of Taiwan. No one has competed under more names and few have competed under more flags. And, countries being punished for doping aside, no one else is barred from using their own flag, anthem, and even name at the games. This unusual Olympic history is a big part of the newest exhibit at the National Museum of Taiwan History. With me to discuss this new exhibit is museum researcher Liu Wei-ying.
