The International Chinese Language Program, or ICLP, is one of a number of programs in Taiwan that gets foreign learners of the Mandarin Chinese language into top condition. This is a proper language bootcamp, but the struggle is worth it, as students advance to greater and greater heights of proficiency in the space of just a few months. It's not the only program like this in Taiwan, either. But there are plenty of Chinese language programs around the world too, especially as the Chinese language grows in popularity and importance. So why come to Taiwan to study? The ICLP's head, Professor Kao, is back this week for a closer look at how his school operates and a few arguments for why, when it comes to learning Chinese, Taiwan is the place to be.
