A lot of people feel a sense of possibility at the end of 2022 that wasn't there just a few months ago. But feeling the possibility is a long way from achieving anything from that feeling.

We'll know it's working if most people feel their best place to write is their blog, where the editing tools work just as they like them to, and there are no boundaries to where those ideas can be published.

I've made a point of reaching out to old friends in the last few weeks to see if we can work together on any projects.

So far most people are still wary of working with others, it seems.

It's the only way we avoid falling back into the same morass.

The one exception is Automattic. In the last few weeks we've collaborated on two projects. One to connect FeedLand and WordPress via rssCloud and to get their RSS reader cool with titleless feed items. They are an amazing company. Very often when I knock on the door they say yes.

My product is interop. Give me a stack of bibles and I'll swear to it.
